This new VKC was inaugurated by the local MLA, the Village Panchayat President and the Council Members on the 19th April at 4.30 pm.

The VKC is located at No.37, Kamaraj Salai, Pudukuppam Road, Thavalakuppam. This place is exactly 7 kilometres from Puducherry.

Those who participated in the inaugural ceremony included women belonging to the economically disadvantaged sections of the society, SHGs( Self Help Groups), children and youth.

The VKC will especially target, students, youth, farmers, fishermen community, SHGs, handicraft workers and senior citizens to make use of its facilities which will include relevant information relating to education, health, animal husbandry, fisheries, rural enterprise and disaster management.
